Queensland Flood crisis in South East Queensland, Australia. The area was affected by major floods between 11 to 13 January 2011. It is Queensland’s worst natural disaster to date. In Brisbane, more than 26,000 homes. Also, 3,000 businesses have been flooded.

About 4,000 people are in in evacuation centers across the state. The death toll stands at 16. The search continues for dozens of people still missing in Queensland’s flood crisis.
The massive clean up, reconstruction and rebuilding in the flooded areas took many months. Also, it took weeks to have flooded homes assessed prior to getting power returned, due to the shortage of electricians.
